How to understand "wait without hope"

We always eager to understand “when it can be achieved” or “when it will happen.” Eliot gives a different answer in “East Coker”: “I Said to My Soul, Be Still” I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love, For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith, But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.

Random piece in May

I was seriously ill a while back—worse than I’d ever been. It left me completely drained. But in that broken state, I started seeing life differently. there are so many thoughts I need to get down—scattered, half-formed, urgent. My mentor’s “Why Statement” was deeply inspiring. Her aspiration is to inspire and empower young individuals, fostering positive change in them, and, over time, in the world at large. However, when I questioned my own “Why Statement,” I found myself at a loss.

Three Days Without My Laptop

Three days ago, my laptop, which I’ve used faithfully for nearly six years, ran into technical issues. Upon starting it up, I was met with the message: “To interrupt normal startup, press enter.” Given my affinity for technology, I saw this as an opportunity to delve deeper into the workings of my laptop. After some independent research, I discovered others had faced similar issues. Their solution was to access the BIOS system, adjust the optimized defaults, and then restart.
